*Visiting Instructor of Geographic Information Systems and Interim Director
of Spatial Analysis Lab *



The Department of Geography and the Environment at the University of
Richmond invites applications for a full-time one year appointment as
visiting instructor of GIS and interim director of the department’s spatial
analysis lab beginning in August 2019.



We seek candidates capable of teaching at all levels in geospatial
analysis. The teaching load for the 2019-20 academic year will be two
sections of Foundations of Geospatial Analysis per semester with an
additional advanced GIS course in the spring term. Management of the
spatial analysis lab includes mentoring and managing interns, facilitating
student research, and general oversight of the lab. PhD preferred though
the search committee will consider candidates with an MA or MS in
Geography, Geosciences, or a related field.
