intersection of atmospheric environment and climate change. 

 

Job description

The research group invite applications for 1-2 postdoctoral researchers.
Successful candidates are expected to work on the project of Coupling
formation mechanisms and model parameterization for secondary aerosol and
ozone formation in Pear River Delta, China (PRD). The project consists of
development of WRF-Chem model for secondary aerosols and O3 simulation, and
thus requires experience in WRF-Chem, as well as modeling of a large
ensemble of ground-based and satellite observations. The position will begin
as soon as possible and is for two years, with the possibility to renew. 

 

Qualified Postdoc candidates are expected to 

Ø  Obtain a doctoral degree in meteorology, atmospheric physics/chemistry,
or related field.

Ø  Be under 35 years old, and receive a Ph.D. degree within the last 3
years.  

Ø  Be experienced with chemical transport or air quality models,
particularly WRF-Chem.

Ø  Have at least 1 paper published in SCI journals with himself being the
first author.

Ø  For foreign applicants, have a Ph.D. degree at the top 200 overseas
universities (excluding Mainland China) in the Times Higher Education World
University rankings.

 

Remuneration and Benefits

Successful candidates will be provided with a package consisting of salary,
performance allowance and full employee benefits stipulated by policies of
Jinan University.

Ø  Upon satisfactory performance of successful candidates: 25,0000 - 30,0000
RMB each year.

Ø  Housing allowance with the standard of 2000 RMB per month will be
provided.
