Staff Geologist / Geophysicist
Greensboro, NC, US
ESP is currently seeking a staff-level Geophysicist/Geologist for our established geophysical group in the Greensboro, North Carolina office.

Responsibilities will include:
* Geophysical data collection for a wide variety of environmental and engineering projects
* Vibration monitoring
* Hazardous waste assessments
* Oversight of subsurface drilling and sampling
* Environmental soil and groundwater sampling and drilling
* Data analysis
* Report preparation.


The successful candidate will have a BS or MS degree in Geophysics or Geology, have strong written and oral communication skills and possess a valid driver's license. Previous experience, 40-hour Hazwoper training and GIT certification are beneficial but not required. This position will require extended periods of field work, overnight travel and possible night work. The person in this position frequently carries and/or lifts equipment weighing up to 75 pounds across uneven terrain for various purposes and field needs. This role also requires frequent exposure and work in outdoor weather conditions as well as repetitive overhead swinging of equipment up to 20 pounds.
