Postdoctoral Position at Georgia Tech

A postdoctoral position is available in the Ng group (http://ng.chbe.gatech.edu/) at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The successful candidate will conduct laboratory experiments in the Georgia Tech Environmental Chamber facility (https://coe.gatech.edu/news/air-we-breathe) to investigate formation and fates of organic nitrates from oxidation of biogenic VOCs. A large suite of state-of-the-art instrumentation is available for chemical characterization of gas-phase species and aerosols, including a High Resolution Chemical Ionization Mass Spectrometer (HR-ToF-CIMS) with an aerosol inlet (FIGAERO) and a High Resolution Aerosol Chemical Ionization Mass Spectrometer (HR-ToF-AMS).


Applicants should hold a Ph. D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Atmospheric Sciences, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences/Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge and experience in operating advanced aerosol instrumentation and corresponding data analysis (e.g., FIGAERO-HR-ToF-CIMS, HR-ToF-AMS) are preferred. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the expectation of renewal for at least one year upon satisfactory performance.
