Job Summary

Job Summary

The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Earth
System Research Laboratory (ESRL), Chemical Sciences Division (CSD),
Chemical Processes and Instrument Development (CPID) program is looking for
a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate to work on the
development of particle total nitrogen- and carbon measurement
instrumentation and methods using model and ambient aerosol samples.

Who We Are

Who We Are

At CIRES, the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences,
more than 800 environmental scientists work to understand the dynamic Earth
system, including people's relationship with the planet. CIRES is a
partnership of NOAA and the University of Colorado Boulder, and our areas of
expertise include weather and climate, changes at the Earth's poles, air
quality and atmospheric chemistry, water resources, and solid Earth
sciences. Our vision is to be instrumental in ensuring a sustainable future
environment by advancing scientific and societal understanding of the Earth
system.

In the Chemical Sciences Division (CSD), of the NOAA, Earth System Research
Laboratory, researchers build instruments to make precise measurements,
conduct laboratory experiments, design and operate field missions, analyze
observations, and use sophisticated computer models to better understand how
our changing atmosphere is influencing climate - and therefore people.
