[ES_JOBS_NET] The best job ever!

Dear ES_Jobs_Net,

This particular email - I confess - does not have a job posting in it. But, you know from experience, that many dream jobs are posted here! Many of you have had new opportunities… or hired great people… because of this high-impact, *free*, job-search resource. What you may not know is that the Earth Science Jobs Network was founded and is maintained by the Earth Science Women’s Network (ESWN) and generously hosted by the National Center for Atmospheric Resaerch (NCAR).

ESWN is a 501c3 non-profit, with no regular source of income. We need funding to cover everything from website maintainance and accounting, to free professional workshops at the AGU and other meetings, to larger initiatives to promote diversity and equity. Our expenses are small, and each dollar we receive is amplified by the volunteer time of the ESWN Board<https://eswnonline.org/welcome/leadership/> (you probably know some of the names on it!).

We believe that career advice, community, and job listings should be free!! But to keep things free, we rely on the donations from our community — you! Take a moment to give back to this community through our only annual fundraiser, Science-A-Thon. Some job sites charge $50/year or a recruiter might get 20% of your first year salary! We’re asking for a donation you can afford, that reflects how you value this organization — whether $10, $100, or more.

If we reach $50k with your support, then we will receive a $25k match from the Madison Community Foundation. All funds raised above $50k will launch a new, STEM-wide outreach program to provide advice and diverse role models to high school and college students… taking the recipe of ESWN and ES_Jobs_Net to the next generation!
