Job Description

RETTEW has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-level Soil
Scientist/Geoscientist to support staff in the following offices:
Pittsburgh, PA, Bridgeport, WV and St. Clairsville, OH.

The optimal candidate will have a broad spectrum of experience with exposure
to the following areas of expertise:

.        Experience in environmental consulting and environmental compliance
(NPDES,SPCC, Tier II, TRI, waster, stormwater, air, et cetera), soil and
geologic evaluations

.        Soil classification and storm water infiltration testing

.        Environmental due diligence (Phase I/II ESA)

.        Hazardous materials survey (asbestos, led, PCB)

.        Soil, storm water and groundwater sampling, monitoring well
installation

.        Geotechnical field investigations and soil boring installation

.        Contractor oversight

Minimum qualifications:

.        5+ years of professional experience

.        Bachelor's in Geology, Geosciences, GeoEnvironmental Soil Science
or Environmental Science

.        Course work or proficiency in soil science and classification (USDA
and USCS) preferred

.        Excellent written and communication skills; strong technical writer

.        OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER trained

.        Willingness to travel; Periodic overnight travel; occasional
project specific extended travel
