POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Institute for Data, Systems, and Society, to join a multidisciplinary research team focused on improving estimates of potential exposures to and understanding the public health impacts of hazardous environmental pollutants. The postdoctoral associate will work with Prof. Noelle Selin to conduct atmospheric modeling studies of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and related degradation products, and collaborate closely with other researchers involved in laboratory and field measurements. The position involves collaboration and interaction with biological sciences researchers as well as with local and regional communities affected by these pollutants.
Job Requirements:
REQUIRED: a Ph.D. in a related field, significant experience developing and running global or regional chemical transport models, and strong oral and written communication skills as demonstrated by a track record of journal publications. Experience analyzing health-related aspects of atmospheric chemical pollutants and working in an interdisciplinary team and with stakeholders is highly desirable. Seeking a creative, highly self-motivated, and organized individual who is capable of working productively both independently and with others.
This is a one-year appointment, renewable based upon satisfactory performance and funding.
