Envision Energy is a global leading smart energy management company. It owns
the world's largest Energy IoT platform, EnOS(tm). Envision has regional
offices across Asia, Europe, North and Latin America and has established
global R&D and engineering centers in Denmark, Germany and the United
States. The Envision’s Global Digital Hub has been set up in Singapore
recently, partnering with Ascendas-Singbridge Group, Sunseap Group, the
Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore, and the Nanyang Technological
University. The meteorological capacity developing in this Digital hub will
be a key base for Envision’s business.



Envision is seeking three best-in-class meteorologists with experience in
state-of-the-art weather modeling and forecasting techniques. In cooperation
with the UK Met Office, ECMWF and other meteorological agencies he/she will
work with Envision’s Kongming(tm) wind/solar forecasting team to improve
its accuracy and ensure Kongming(tm) competitiveness in the global market
for wind/solar applications. In addition, the successful candidate might
also work on improving the hindcasting and long term correlation/correction
of wind/solar data to improve the AEP prediction accuracy and decrease the
uncertainty of Envision’s site design and evaluation platform.

Responsibilities：

              Meteorologist I: develop Envision’s ensemble forecast
technique to improve the accuracy of short and long term wind/solar
forecasts.

Meteorologist II: develop Envision’s data assimilation system and evaluate
its performance of short and long term wind/solar forecasts.

Meteorologist III: focus on solar forecast by modelling or machine learning
methods

Requirements：

             PhD (or MSc with several years’ experience) in
Meteorology/Atmospheric Physics, Statistics or similar,

             He or she must have experience working with NWP and capable of
integrating new advances gleaned from the research community to improve the
accuracy of weather forecasts.

Programming (Matlab/Python, bash, NCL, Fortran...),

Knowledge of the WRF model would be an advantage,

             Good English oral and written communication skills, Chinese is
a plus.

Ltd and can start ASAP.
