NREL just opened a requisition for a new team member to help us figure out the optimal mix of resources for the grid of the future. We’re looking for someone with prior experience in energy system modeling, optimization, and with a track record of successful communication and publishing. Individuals that have recently completed their PhDs or those with an MS and a number of years of experience will qualify.

If you are interested, but don't have these qualifications, you should definitely apply anyway – There may be a more junior position opening as well, so best to get your name in the system!
