Job Description
A postdoctoral position is available at the Joint Global Change Research Institute (JGCRI) of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), focusing on both modeling and data synthesis with respect to the decomposition and mineralization of soil carbon, at scales ranging from core (e.g. laboratory incubations) to global (e.g. drawing on existing soil respiration databases). The overall project employs laboratory incubation experiments, modeling, and data synthesis, and focuses on linking soil organic carbon protection mechanisms to ecosystem CO2 fluxes in response to varying antecedent soil moisture conditions.
The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for:
Working both independently and collaboratively with other team members, both at JGCRI and in Richland, WA, to identify and lead modeling and synthesis priorities.
