[ES_JOBS_NET] Data Science Postdoc for Air-Sea Interactions

For the Antarctic Circumnavigation Expedition DATA project we are looking
for a *Postdoctoral Fellow in Data Science / Earth System Sciences*.


The Antarctic Circumnavigation Expedition (ACE) gathered data and samples
of many different types during a three-month research expedition. The
"Delivering Added-value to Antarctica" (ACE-DATA) project will generate new
interdisciplinary knowledge about the Southern Ocean and create a platform
through which the ACE data will be made publicly available. ACE-DATA is a
joint project between the Swiss Polar Institute, the Swiss Data Science
Center, the Paul Scherrer Institute and other ACE project members worldwide.


The successful candidate will investigate ocean-atmosphere interactions
from the perspectives of ocean physics, chemistry and productivity,
meteorological variables and atmospheric gases and aerosols, based on in
situ measurements, satellite observations and modeling results. The
position is hosted by the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland.
