The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) is soliciting applications for the Assistant Air Quality Chemist/ Air Quality Chemist position.

The SCAQMD is one of the largest and most technologically sophisticated environmental regulatory agencies in the nation. We serve a four-county region in Southern California that includes all of Orange County and parts of Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties; home to almost 17 million people. SCAQMD's headquarters are located in Diamond Bar, 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, at the junction of the 57 and 60 freeways.

An open recruitment is currently underway to create an eligible list from which we expect to fill a current and future Assistant Air Quality Chemist/ Air Quality Chemist vacancies, that occur during the life of the list.

This recruitment will close at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, OR when a sufficient number of qualified candidates have applied.
