General Summary of Position:

A full-time postdoctoral research associate position is available in the
Earth Science division of the Department of Environmental, Earth, and
Atmospheric Sciences.  The research is on isotope geochemistry and
petrology. 

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

.        Ph.D. in geology or closely related field

.        Background in isotope geochemistry and/or petrology

.        Strong geo-analytical skills, with experience in clean lab
processing of geologic samples for solution-based isotope analysis

.        Demonstrated research accomplishments evidenced by publication in
scientific journals and/or presentations at national conferences

.        Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written

.        Ability to independently develop new research projects

Additional Considerations:

.        Experience with laser ablation ICP-MS is welcomed but not essential

Special Instructions to Applicants:

This position is contingent upon funding and is initially for one year with
the possibility of an additional years contingent upon external funding and
performance. 

Only current UML Employees within the Grants & Contracts (MTA/GRACE)
