The Cooperative Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Studies (CIMAS) of the
University of Miami invites applications for an Associate Scientist

The successful candidate will be responsible for devising and conducting
research projects to quantify the impact of proposed and existing observing
systems on analyses and forecasts of the atmosphere and ocean. As required,
he or she will also develop and test improvements in the DA methods used to
assimilate these observations. He or she will also be responsible for
presenting findings at scientific meetings and publishing results in
scientific journals.
A high degree of attention to detail and careful examination of assumptions
