Position Summary

The School of Geography and Development is seeking a postdoctoral scientist
for a one-year position to contribute to projects that examine interactions
between climate change and the sustainable development goals. You will take
responsibility for developing proposals, implementing research projects,
organizing events and conferences, and generally supporting the Environment
and Sustainable Development initiative at the University of Arizona. A
successful candidate should have a strong background in climate and
development, with demonstrated abilities to work independently, publish and
organize research projects and events. Spanish language ability is preferred
with skills that can include qualitative and/or quantitative methods and GIS
focused on human-environment interactions. The position is based in the
School of Geography and Development (geography.arizona.edu) under the
supervision of Professor Diana Liverman and you will have the opportunity to
collaborate and interact with a diversity of faculty and students.

three references. This position is funded for one year with the potential to
extend by another year. The successful applicant should be prepared to start

Duties & Responsibilities

The postdoctoral research scientist will take responsibility for developing
proposals, implementing research projects, organizing events and
conferences, and generally supporting the Environment and Sustainable
Development initiative at the University of Arizona.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Minimum Qualifications

*	PhD in an applicable field of research prior to job start date
*	Extensive knowledge of climate and development field
