Post-doc (full-time)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic post-doc researcher with
research experience in the application of X-ray fluorescence (XRF)
technology in Earth Science or related fields. He/she will join the
Sedimentary Geology research group of the Institute of Geology at the
University of Innsbruck to (i) assist in running the new „Austrian Core
Facility for scientific core logging and scanning“ and (ii) to develop and
perform own independent research, preferably using XRF core scanning to
study high-resolution sedimentary archives for past environmental, climatic
and/or tectonic changes/impacts. The successful candidate holds a PhD in
Earth Science or related fields, has excellent English language
communication skills, has an open attitude towards multi-disciplinary
research and is a good team player.
The position is limited to 1.5 years. Since part of the funding is
considered as start-up financing, the post-doc researcher is expected (and
will be supported) to develop own research proposals to Austrian and
European funding agencies to extend his/her research activity at the
University of Innsbruck beyond the initial contract period.

The position is limited to 1,5 years.
The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for this
position amounts to E 3.626,00 per month (14 times). The salary will be
