[ES_JOBS_NET] political science position on climate action at IASS, Potsdam

The IASS has a 50 % position open for someone with a political science
background in the ClimAct project.

The ClimAct project is designed to build a bridge between the scientific
expertise of the IASS and climate action within national and international
political processes, with particular emphasis on the United Nations
Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) climate negotiations and
the activities of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC;
http://www.ccacoalition.org/). In this context,the primary aim of the
project is to connect academic knowledge on climate science and governance
to on-the-ground actions that put society on a path to reaching major
international goals such as theParis Agreement climate goal. In addition,
the project will help develop a better understanding of the role of
international institutions like the UNFCCC and CCAC in this process,
especially in light of the synergies and conflicts between the related
societal and political goals of climate change mitigation, improved air
quality, and good health.
