The Department of Earth and Environment (E&E) at Florida International University (FIU) invites applications for a non-tenure earning Instructor position in Environmental Policy. Applicants from any specialization will be considered, but we especially seek applicants with expertise in water resources policy to complement several existing FIU research institutes and centers. The Department of Earth and Environment offers a wide variety of Environmental and GIS courses, the syllabi of which can be found at https://earthenvironment.fiu.edu/syllabi/. The position will involve undergraduate teaching as well as some departmental service. Graduate teaching is possible for successful applicants holding a PhD.
Minimum qualifications are: a Master’s or PhD in public policy, natural resources policy, political science or related field and teaching experience. Candidates willing to teach in multiple modes of instruction including face-to-face, online and hybrids formats are desired. The successful applicant will join a large and highly diverse faculty of scholars within E&E and across the university. We especially seek well-qualified minority and female applicants.
