Apologies for the cross-posting.
I wanted to alert you to a job posting for a GNSS-R Post-Doc position in
the UCAR COSMIC Program:
In 2016, the COSMIC Program initiated a postdoctoral fellowship program to
support and encourage the advancement and application of Global Navigation
Satellite System (GNSS) remote sensing for Earth science. This year the
COSMIC Program is making a postdoctoral fellowship available to study
issues related to the acquisition, retrieval, utilization and validation of
GNSS Reflectometry (GNSS-R) data. GNSS-R is an expanding observational
technique with the potential to observe sea surface vector winds, soil
moisture, freeze/thaw state, polar ice extent, and sea surface topography
(altimetry). The successful launch of the NASA CYGNSS GNSS-R mission in Dec
2016 will provide a wealth of data that can be used to improve upon GNSS-R
retrieval algorithms, data validation, and data utilization for
wide-ranging applications such as numerical weather prediction, climate and
water cycle studies, and oceanography. This fellowship program is designed
to support early career scientists who are interested in GNSS remote
sensing and would like to begin their career working within a group of
scientists with research interests ranging from new retrieval technology,
space weather, numerical weather prediction, and climate processes.

If you know any recent PhD’s with GNSS-R experience and who might be
interested, would you please pass this announcement to them?
Thanks,
Jeremiah
