We invite applications for a Ph. D. Position in climate dynamics at
the *Department
of Meteorology of Stockholm University*. This positon provides generous
funding for up to 4 years of full-time study.


The focus will be on characterising the large-scale drivers and improving
the prediction of mid-latitude weather extremes, by combining the study of
atmospheric dynamics with a statistical/mathematical approach. The
understanding gained through the analysis of historical and present-day
climate will then be applied to climate change simulations.
