A PhD or MS graduate research assistant position is available in the
Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at North
Carolina State University. Research will center on local to global air
quality modeling and explore the connections between air pollution, climate
change and environmental policy. Potential projects include studying the
effect of forest fires on atmospheric pollution, evaluating the impacts of
climate policies on air quality and health, and developing numerical and
computational methods for environmental models. Additional information is

At NC State, students will be part of one of the largest civil and
environmental engineering departments in the U.S. and a vibrant research
community. NC State is also great place to undertake air pollution
research. Students will have opportunities to interact with many faculty
members and researchers working on air quality and environmental modeling
across different academic departments and institutions. The Triangle region
offers excellent research and career-related resources for air pollution
engineers. In addition, Raleigh is a great place to live.

Financial support for graduate students covers tuition and living expenses
