Faculty Position in Civil and Environmental Engineering Princeton University 

Princeton University, Professorship. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Princeton University invites applications for a faculty position with a preferred start date of September 1, 2017. The search is open for Assistant, Associate and Full Professor appointments, with a preference for scientists/engineers who would be hired at the Associate or Full Professor level. The successful candidate will have a PhD in an appropriate field and a proven record of innovation and creativity in conducting quantitative research addressing important and emerging topics in civil and environmental engineering. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to: 1) Resilient and Smart Cities, 2) Environmental Bioengineering, 3) Engineering and the Arts and 4) Water, Climate and Energy Nexus. 

It is expected that the successful candidate will make substantial contributions to the diverse, interdisciplinary research and teaching mission of the CEE Department, which has strong undergraduate and graduate programs in both Structural Engineering and Environmental Engineering, as well as a strong undergraduate program in Architecture and Engineering. Applicants should have interest in, and competence for, teaching broad undergraduate courses as well as advanced graduate courses in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Candidates must have the ability and motivation to develop a vigorous independent research program, and to participate in collaborative efforts with other faculty members.
