The Department of Geography and Earth Sciences at the University of North
Carolina at
Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) is recruiting a tenure-track Assistant Professor
specializing in
hydrometeorology or ecohydrology with expertise broadly related to
characterizing
water-land-atmosphere interactions at multiple spatial and temporal scales.
The position will
begin August 2017. The successful candidate will contribute to the
atmospheric and hydrologic
components of our graduate and undergraduate programs in the geographical
and natural sciences.
Required qualifications include: 1) a doctoral degree in Geography,
Atmospheric Sciences,
Environmental Sciences, or a closely related field at the time of
appointment; 2) the ability to
develop and maintain an externally-funded research program; 3) the ability
to contribute to
undergraduate and graduate curricula consistent with departmental needs;
and 4) the ability to
contribute to the department’s interdisciplinary research mission. UNC
