The Department of Ocean Engineering and the Graduate School of Oceanography at the University of Rhode Island are each inviting applications for a tenure track assistant professor, with anticipated start dates in Sept. 2017.

The Ocean Engineering Department is searching for applicants with a specialty in marine robotics, autonomous systems, multi-agent systems, navigation and machine learning, or a related field. https://jobs.uri.edu/postings/1865 <https://jobs.uri.edu/postings/1865> 

The Graduate School of Oceanography is searching for researchers who will contribute to the development of vehicle platforms, sensors, or software for automated data acquisition and intelligent processing, sampling and sensing.  http://jobs.uri.edu/postings/1919 <http://jobs.uri.edu/postings/1919>

Consideration of applications for the Engineering position will begin on December 15th, 2016.  and for the Oceanography position will begin on January 17th, 2017. Applications for both positions will be accepted until the position is filled.
