Dear Colleagues,
I have recently moved from U of Illinois to Department Chair at Southern Methodist University and I am writing to ask your help in filling faculty positions.
SMU has recently completed a billion dollar campaign and is investing heavily in research in science and engineering. I have a commitment from the provost to grow our department to 15-20 faculty over the next 5-10 years as we grow our professional Master's programs. We're starting out with at least two hires this year in any of three multidisciplinary theme areas listed below and attached, and have two endowed positions available for senior faculty.
Could you please circulate this to your current and former graduate students, post-docs, and faculty?
Thanks in advance for your help, and Happy Holidays!
Best wishes,
Barbara Minsker
