I have an opening for a Ph.D. candidate in nitrogen stable isotope
biogeochemistry in the department of Marine Sciences at the University of
Connecticut (Avery Point Campus; http://marinesciences.uconn.edu),
beginning January 2017 or earlier. Students/researchers in my laboratory
work on projects ranging from tracing of nitrogen transformations in marine
and terrestrial systems with stable isotopes, to examination of nitrogen
isotope fractionation by diverse microbial groups (
http://granger.lab.uconn.edu/). Specific research projects are open for
discussion. I am looking for an individual who is self-motivated, and
interested in interdisciplinary research interfacing between chemistry,
biology and oceanography. Applications for this position should include a
CV containing academic degrees, the names and contact information for two
to three professional references, and a list of scientific publications and
accomplishments. Specific research projects are open for discussion.
Inquiries for this position should be directed to Dr. Julie Granger (
julie.granger at uconn.edu).
