The Department of Environmental Health (www.sph.emory.edu/eh) at the
Rollins School of Public Health of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, is
continuing a major faculty expansion, in a multi-year search.  We seek
tenure-track applicants in all areas of environmental health, with
particular emphasis in the coming year on global environmental health and
environmental epidemiology. Priority areas include health effects of
climate change (including energy/sustainability/built environment),
infectious disease ecology, environmental health application of “-omics”,
risk assessment (including computational toxicology, systems science, use
of high-throughput data), environmental biostatistics/methods and
environmental health policy (including economics and decision analysis).
Candidates for senior positions should have a strong record of scholarship
and teaching, a demonstrated ability to secure external funding, and an
established, high-impact research program. Candidates for junior positions
must demonstrate the potential to become independent investigators.

The Department consists of 16 primary faculty, 11 joint faculty and over 40
adjunct faculty, many affiliated with CDC. The Department has hired 6
tenure-track faculty in the past several years and has achieved recognition
for research programs in environmental epidemiology, neurotoxicology,
infectious disease ecology, exposure assessment, and risk analysis. The
Rollins School of Public Health has emerged as one of the nation’s leading
public health schools and enrolls over 1000 students in its graduate
programs.
