The Departments of BioSciences and Earth Science at Rice University are
accepting applications for multiple postdoctoral positions in the area of
soil microbial processes. We seek excellent candidates with a strong
background in geobiology, environmental microbiology, and/or synthetic
biology. These postdoctoral positions are a unique opportunity for
researchers with backgrounds in biology and the Earth sciences to become
part of a team developing new synthetic biology tools to track microbial
dynamics in the Earth system. For more information, see

benefits-eligible positions with future years contingent upon performance
and funding. A Ph.D. in the biological sciences, Earth sciences or a
related field is required at the time of appointment.
