Postdoctoral Fellow: Characterization of Aerosol from Oil Spills
The Koehler Research Group, in the Environmental Health Sciences Department in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, has an opening for a post-doctoral researcher in the field of occupational and environmental exposure assessment. We are seeking a postdoc to take a leadership role on characterizing aerosol emissions from ocean processes after oil spills. Research will occur under the supervision of Professor Kirsten Koehler (http://www.jhsph.edu/departments/environmental-health-sciences/koehler/index.html).
The selected candidate will have a doctoral degree in a quantitative science, preferably environmental health or engineering, and will have research experience in aerosols and air quality instrumentation. The ideal candidate will have strong laboratory skills and excelled written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of aerosol transport and programming skills are highly desirable.
The position is full-time with a multi-year duration, contingent upon satisfactory performance and continued funding. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience. Johns Hopkins University is located in Baltimore, MD.
