Henry Rutgers Professor of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences

Rutgers University – New Brunswick seeks an accomplished scientist to serve as the first Henry Rutgers Professor of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences. The successful candidate will conduct innovative research as a member of Rutgers’ newly formed Institute of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences (EOAS; http://eoas.rutgers.edu/). The Institute is an interdisciplinary community fostering research,education, and outreach about Earth’s interior, continents, oceans, atmosphere, and biosphere, their interactions and co-evolution through our planet’s history, and humanity’s dependence and impacts upon these systems. Candidates should be internationally recognized for their research, have a demonstrated commitment to cross-disciplinary collaboration, and possess a commensurate record of publications, grants, teaching and service. The appointment will be at the level of Full or Distinguished Professor. In addition to being an EOAS member, the successful candidate will be appointed in one or more disciplinary departments.
