ASSISTANT PROFESSORSHIP IN SURFACE WATER HYDROLOGY
The Department of Geography invites applications for a tenure-track
position in Surface Water Hydrology.This appointment will be at the rank
of Assistant Professor and will begin September 1, 2016.
The ideal candidate will have expertise that combines both field
hydrology and modelling with a focus that could range from small-basins
to big-river scale. The successful candidate will build an
externally-funded research program that complements and contributes to
our research strengths in the water sciences and global environmental
change. We value collaboration across campus and beyond. The successful
candidate will demonstrate excellence, or the clear promise of
excellence, in research and teaching. They will develop an effective
graduate training program, teach graduate and undergraduate courses in
hydrology and other courses in the Physical Geography program,
contribute to our Physical Geography field school, and participate in
collegial governance. The incumbent will be expected to teach courses
that contribute to the Masters of Ecological Restoration and/or
Environmental Science programs as part of their normal teaching load.
