We invite applications from candidates whose research is creative and 
innovative and
in one or more of the following areas: igneous and metamorphic 
petrology, meteoritics, geochemistry (especially high-temperature 
geochemistry or cosmochemistry).

The department has broad interests in the chemical and petrological 
evolution of the Earth and the solar system. Candidates should have an 
outstanding record of research in a relevant subject area and will be 
expected to develop a vigorous research programme at an international 
level.
