Position Description: Environmental Scientist and Program Coordinator, Environmental Analysis Program, Pomona College

Pomona College seeks to hire a senior environmental scientist as a tenured faculty member in the Environmental Analysis Program. Because of the intensely interdisciplinary nature of the program, we are looking for a dynamic colleague whose teaching and research demonstrate their ability to contribute across the humanities, sciences, and social sciences at one of the nation's premier undergraduate liberal-arts programs. Responsibilities will include teaching four undergraduate courses (one of which will be the required introduction to environmental science) and managerial responsibility for the large and growing Environmental Analysis program. The successful candidate will be considered for the Stephen M. Pauley Professorship in Environmental Analysis with promotion to rank as Coordinator of the Environmental Analysis Program. Applicants should have fundamental training in biology, chemistry, physics, or the geosciences, and a distinguished record of teaching and research in the environmental field. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
