[ES_JOBS_NET] Job Opening @ University of Bristol: Research Position in Uncertainty Communication

The Department of Civil Engineering is looking for a post-doctoral researcher to work on uncertainty assessment and communication, to support risk management in natural hazards.  You will have a proven track record of data analysis/modeling and visualisation in environmental science, and experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable: [1] expert elicitation of uncertainties and losses, [2] decision theory and decision support tools (such as HUGIN Expert), [3] specific natural hazards (e.g. earthquakes, volcanoes, floods).

You will be supervised by Dr Katsu Goda and Profs Willy Aspinall and Thorsten Wagener as part of the CREDIBLE project, a NERC-funded consortium (Bristol, Exeter, Oxford, Lancaster) to develop methods and implement statistical methods for uncertainty and risk assessment in natural hazards.  This is a 2-year fixed term position based in Civil Engineering at the University of Bristol, along with two other post-doctoral positions (already filled) and three PhD students (already started).
