Senior Faculty Position available:

Center for Atmospheric Sciences, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico 
(UNAM)

The Center for Atmospheric Sciences carries out basic and applied 
research in atmospheric and environmental sciences (http://www. 
atmosfera.unam.mx). It is part of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de 
Mexico, the largest university in Mexico, and it is located on the 
Mexico City campus.

A position is currently available for a well-­‐established scientist 
working on the general areas of atmospheric convection and mesoscale 
systems. Research in tropical convection and tropical cyclones would be 
particularly desirable. The successful applicant would join the faculty 
of the Atmospheric Sciences Department within the center and would be 
expected to carry out research, supervise students and lecture at 
undergraduate or graduate level (1 course per year is expected). Spanish 
language skill is not required, but a willingness to learn the language 
would be appreciated. The position is currently available at the highest 
pay level within UNAM and includes medical benefits.
