Water Resources Extension Field Specialist I, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, South Dakota State University. The Field Specialist will develop Extension programming related to water issues associated with agricultural production and will develop educational materials for delivery through new and traditional media. The specialist will work closely with Faculty in the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department and will collaborate in applied or on-farm research to support educational programs. Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering or a related discipline, teaching or outreach experience, the ability or potential to develop a quality Extension program, and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred qualifications include previous Extension experience, knowledge of Midwest and Great Plains agricultural systems, knowledge of water resources laws and regulations, and experience in the use of technology for delivering educational programs.
