The Watershed Hydrology Laboratory/Montana Climate Office at the University of Montana is seeking a PhD student to work on a USDA sponsored investigation of climate, hydrology and vegetation interactions across the Rocky Mountains of Montana. The Ph.D fellowship will include a monthly stipend, full tuition, and fees/funds to conduct research.
Education and experience – An MS or BS degree in landscape ecology, watershed hydrology, hydrometeorology, or similar discipline is required.  Experience with GIS, remote sensing, programming (Matlab or Python), hydrology measurement techniques, and tree ring analysis is desired.  Candidates should be highly motivated and must have the ability to work at remote field sites (hiking, equipment installation and measurements).  Applicants should email Dr. K.
