[EMP2012] EMP weekly status meeting - 10am MDT (Boulder)

Hi all,

I've got a sick kid at home and not sure what my situation on the phone is going to be. I will try to call in, but if I cannot be on reliably, here are my updates: 

We are having some good success reaching science educators at Cairns who already have eclipse events happening. So I think we'll be able to get their audiences involved with the App (I'm estimating about a 1,000 people from these connections so far.) 

We are ready, willing and able to start on the web development here at UC Berkeley. If you give us the go ahead, we'll get started. Perhaps we can make a straw-man for next week for you all to comment on. I will aim for that. 

I still have on my task list the Flickr site. I'll work on getting that up this week.

I also have on my task list to write up our goal, objectives and maybe some impact statements. Ruth send out who we think our main audience for Australia is.

    Possible Examples:
    * Audiences who participate in Ecplipse Megamovie are connected to
their sense of wonder and learn about the dynamic Sun and eclipses.

3) update on RFP process (LJ)

4) update on lab testing of iGadgets in the lab (Lee)
     * we've acquired two devices- iPod Touch, iPhone 4S- for testing
     * Lee is leading the effort to determine capabilities of the devices
     * Lee's initial thoughts on how to proceed

5) flotsam...
