<div dir="ltr"><div>Dear Colleagues,</div><div><br></div><div>We invite you to submit an abstract to our AGU session "Atmospheric and Ionospheric Responses to Impulsive Forcing" (<a href="https://agu.confex.com/agu/agu26/prelim.cgi/Session/279980">https://agu.confex.com/agu/agu26/prelim.cgi/Session/279980</a>).</div><div><br>The session solicits contributions to characterize and understand the atmospheric and
ionospheric responses to the forcing from impulsive events such as earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, tropical cyclones, and man-made activities. Studies on
specific aspects of the lithosphere-atmosphere-ionosphere coupling
process, for instance the excitation mechanisms of atmospheric
acoustic-gravity waves, their dynamics, and the modulation of
ionospheric plasma, are all welcome. The session also seeks techniques and algorithms to detect and identify the ionospheric
disturbances driven by impulsive events, in particular investigations on
differentiating ionospheric disturbances forced from below versus from
above. <br><br>Best regards,Xing Meng, Elvira Astafyeva, Pavel Inchin, and Björn Bergsson<br>Session Conveners
