<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:black">Next week, on Wednesday 20th May, the UK Royal Meteorological Society is hosting an online event “Space Climate: An overview of space weather on long timescales”.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:black">This event brings together experts on space climate to give an overview of how the coupled Sun-to-Earth system responsible for space weather behaves over decades, centuries
and longer.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:black"> <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:black">Talks will focus on 'top-down’ and ‘bottom-up’ climatological influences, what past extreme solar events and space climate projections tell us about future events, and
how the satellite sector (and others) can use this information to mitigate long term risk.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
