This CEDAR workshop session will focus on the findings of the discipline panel on the Physics of Ionospheres, Thermospheres, and Mesospheres (ITM), whose own report is included in the Decadal Survey as Appendix D. The ITM panel report builds upon and complements the current strategic plan for CEDAR Science, "CEDAR: The New Dimension", which was released in 2011. </div><div><br></div><div>The session will begin with a brief overview of the ITM science goals identified by the panel as high priority for future investigation and will motivate the need for increased research coordination among the CEDAR community as a means to maximize scientific progress toward these goals. The session will continue with an open discussion, led by the ITM panel co-chairs, on the future of CEDAR science, particularly with regard to the strategic deployment of heterogeneous sensor networks and their utility for advancing physics-based models of multi-scale phenomena.<br><br></div></div><div>Virtual access:</div><div><br></div><div>Topic: CEDAR 2025 Decadal ITM Panel<br>Time: Jun 23, 2025 01:30 PM Central Time (US and Canada)<br><br>Join Zoom Meeting<br><a href="https://mit.zoom.us/j/97260109853" target="_blank">https://mit.zoom.us/j/97260109853</a><br><br>One tap mobile<br>+16465588656,,97260109853# US (New York)<br>+16699006833,,97260109853# US (San Jose)<br><br>Meeting ID: 972 6010 9853<br><br>US : +1 646 558 8656 or +1 669 900 6833<br><br>International Numbers:<span> </span><a href="https://mit.zoom.us/u/ab2fFc9530" target="_blank">https://mit.zoom.us/u/ab2fFc9530</a><br><br>Join by SIP<br><a href="mailto:97260109853@zoomcrc.com" target="_blank">97260109853@zoomcrc.com</a><br><br>Join by Skype for Business<br><a href="https://mit.zoom.us/skype/97260109853" target="_blank">https://mit.zoom.us/skype/97260109853</a></div></div><div><br></div><div><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div><div>-----</div><div>Philip Erickson (he/him), Ph.D.</div><div>Director</div><div>MIT Haystack Observatory</div><div>Westford, MA 01886 USA</div><div><br></div><div>email: <a href="mailto:pje@haystack.mit.edu" target="_blank">pje@mit.edu</a> [NOTE NEW PREFERRED ADDRESS]</div><div>WWW: <a href="http://www.haystack.mit.edu" target="_blank">http://www.haystack.mit.edu</a></div><div>voice: +1 617 715 5769</div><div>fax: <span style="color:rgb(34,34,34)">+1 617 715 5590</span></div><div>Public key: <a href="http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x54878872" target="_blank">http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x54878872</a></div></div><div><br></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>
