Dear CEDAR Community,

Heliophysics funding uncertainty — and science funding more broadly — has become a pressing concern for many of us. As highlighted in Ian Cohen’s recent announcement to the CEDAR email list (Heliophysics Call-to-Action), this issue is top of mind for our community.

In response to strong interest and concern, we’ve added a special townhall session to the agenda of the 2025 Joint CEDAR-GEM Workshop: Townhall: Addressing Advocacy in the Face of Heliophysics Funding Uncertainty, 12:15-13:15, Friday, June 27, 2025.

This session will be an open space to discuss the challenges ahead, share advocacy strategies, and connect with others committed to supporting the future of heliophysics science.

We encourage broad participation and hope to see many of you there.

Best regards,
Liying
