Traditionally, 2D analysis techniques have been used for the characterization and visualization of such data. However, with the advent of robust and widely available virtual reality (<b>VR</b>), augmented reality (<b>AR</b>), mixed reality (<b>MR</b>), and <b>spatial computing</b> tools, <b>a novel research paradigm presents itself to the CEDAR community</b>. These advanced visualization tools, along with novel data expressions and formats, are most commonly used to showcase the conclusions reached by traditional 2D means.
