Significant progress has been made in the methods and techniques to observe and interpret airglow measurements from networks of ground-based all-sky imagers (OMTI, MANGO) and satellite-based instruments (ICON, GOLD, SSUSI, SULI, GUVI). These advances are foundational to the exploration and specification of the atmosphere-ionosphere coupled dynamics and chemistry.
