<p class="MsoNormal">We would like to alert you to a new program, the NSF Regional Innovation Engines. Please see the
<a href="https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2022/nsf22082/nsf22082.jsp">Dear Colleague Letter</a> and the
<a href="https://sam.gov/opp/67236a938b4f49c5a582e6c57921e3bc/view">Broad Agency Announcement</a>. The NSF Engines Program is housed in the new Directorate for Technology, Innovation, and Partnerships (TIP). The intent of the program is to expand domestic
innovation capacity through the prioritization of geographic regions that do not currently have well-established innovation ecosystems or where the innovation activities are only loosely connected. The terminology “innovation” is broadly-defined, and a scientific
area example from the <span style="color:black"><a href="https://sam.gov/api/prod/opps/v3/opportunities/resources/files/e88337a73e774c3e8c4854585fc08c47/download?&token=">FAQ document</a> (.pdf download)
</span>is Climate Change Resilience. Information about upcoming webinars are available
<a href="https://beta.nsf.gov/funding/initiatives/regional-innovation-engines/resources-and-contact-information">
here</a>. The first is Tuesday, May 17<sup>th</sup>. There are also “regional roadshows” and office hours available to prospective PIs to learn more about the program.<o:p></o:p></p>
