<p class="MsoPlainText">The University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder) College of Engineering and Applied Science encourages applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar to participate in upper atmosphere research activities in the Space Weather Technology, Research

<p class="MsoPlainText">The successful applicant will contribute to projects focused on coupling between the middle and upper atmosphere; simulations of the mesosphere, thermosphere, and lower exosphere; interactions between the exosphere and plasmasphere;
the transport of neutral species throughout the upper atmosphere; data assimilation methods; and observing system simulation experiments (OSSEs). Simulation output will be compared with remote and in situ observations from the ground and space and will aid
in the design and planning of future satellite missions. The position will be located in the new Aerospace Engineering Sciences building at CU Boulder (<a href="https://www.colorado.edu/engineering/aero-building">https://www.colorado.edu/engineering/aero-building</a>
). Significant mentoring and professional development opportunities will support the postdoctoral scholar in pursuit of long-term careers goals in research, academia, and other sectors.<o:p></o:p></p>
