2017 Total Solar Eclipse yielded a diverse set of public
engagement/educational outreach programs and scientific datasets.
Reported outcomes of several 2017
Total Solar Eclipse projects and programs included the formation of new
or revised scientific and outreach project plans for the 2024 Total
Solar Eclipse, including starting efforts further out in advance of the
eclipse event. To leverage the collective efforts
of the broader Earth and space science community, this session aims to
facilitate collaboration across projects and organizations as the
eclipse event approaches, and the adoption of evidence-based
implementation strategies, by providing an opportunity for
researchers and educators to report preliminary plans for the 2024
Total Solar Eclipse event.
