Dear CEDAR community,
We are looking forward to the upcoming summer CEDAR workshop. It is always a great collaborative scientific endeavor, and a wonderful experience for our community's graduate and undergraduate students. The student poster competition is an important part of this meeting, and it requires a lot of volunteers from the community to provide the judging quality we like to provide to our students. ** Keep reading even if you are not attending the CEDAR workshop since we have a new opportunity for remote judges this year. **
Being a judge for the CEDAR student poster competition is a great way to participate in the community and learn about interesting student research. Feedback from the poster competition is extremely helpful to students and getting all posters judged requires a lot of judges! This year we have an option for CEDAR community members who will not be able to attend the meeting in person to still be involved in remote judging. In person judges receive dinner on the day of their poster judging.
We have about 30 people who volunteered to be judges when they registered for CEDAR, which is wonderful! But we need at least 20 more. Please sign up at the link below. Even if you signed up when you registered, I would appreciate if you sign up again since this form contains information on preferences for which day you want to judge, conflicts of interest, and remote vs. in-person.

Please let me know (elay at lanl.gov) if you have any questions about being a judge or issues with the form.
Sincerely,
Erin
