CEDAR 2026 Grand Challenge Workshop: Pathways to Improved Space Weather
Predictability

Thank you for joining us this year at the CEDAR Workshop in-person in Des
Moines, IA or online as we kicked off the joint ESPAT
<https://ncarprojects.ucar.edu/predictability>/CEDAR
<https://cedarscience.org/>Grand Challenge “Cross-Scale Coupling and
Variability in the Upper Atmosphere and Ionosphere: Pathways to Improved
Space Weather Predictability”. We appreciated everyone who participated in
the different session format this year!

Next steps: In the coming weeks, we will be synthesizing the input we
collected at the CEDAR workshop and will be in touch with a questionnaire
to ask who from the CEDAR community is interested in taking part in the
Grand Challenge working groups! All interested in joining the effort are
welcome.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions in the meantime.

For more details on this grand challenge please refer to the slides from
